Urban Regeneration of Hua Hin as a Resort City through Local Identity Integration is a thesis project that aims to revitalize Hua Hin Old Town while preserving its local identity alongside contemporary tourism development. The study addresses the impacts of economic growth, tourism expansion, and urban transformation, which have gradually affected the historical values and distinctive character of the original urban fabric. The study area includes Hua Hin Railway Station, the old market district, traditional commercial areas, fishing communities, and beachfront sites. These areas are analyzed through historical, architectural, cultural, social, and public activity perspectives to identify the city’s local potentials and establish appropriate urban regeneration strategies. The project envisions creating a Four-Dimensional Experience that integrates tourism, everyday life, and public spaces into a cohesive urban environment. Through public space enhancement, adaptive reuse of existing buildings, cultural and local market promotion, and the development of urban connectivity networks, the project seeks to encourage continuous activities throughout both day and night. The ultimate goal is to establish Hua Hin as a resort city that reflects its local identity while creating a place that is livable, visitable, and sustainable, balancing heritage conservation with future urban development
